Abstract
New polyoxomolybdate with formula (C7H15N4)3[CH2Mo4O15] (1) was synthesized by a simple method in one step. The structure of the synthesized polyoxo molybdate was investigated by single crystal X-ray crystallographic analysis, which indicates the presence of three cations of N-methyl erroptropin (C7H15N4)+ and polyanion [CH2Mo4O15]3- in the structure 1. In the polyanion [CH2Mo4O15]3-, molybdenum metals are surrounded by two terminal and two bridging μ2-oxygen atoms, one μ4- bridging hydroxyl ligand and also one oxygen of the methanediol ligand is coordinated to each molybdenum metal. After optimizing the reaction conditions for a model reaction, polyoxomolybdate 1 was used as a homogeneous and efficient catalyst for the azide- alkyne ring addition reaction to produce various 1,2,3- triazoles without adding another substance as a reducing agent with medium to high efficiency. In order to check the homogeneity or heterogeneity of the catalyst in the reaction solution, the reaction was stopped after one hour and the catalyst was completely centrifuged and separated from the solution and the reaction was then continued for another 1 h and the results showed that the catalyst was dissolved in the reaction solvent, thus confirming the homogeneity of the catalyst.
